Great Grandpa John And Bessie

John E. & Bessie Quinn
This is a picture that my grandma Bottrell gave me. It is of her parents: John E. Quinn and Bessie (Saxton) Quinn.

What is this blog about

I decided to start this blog to share some of our family history -- mainly old family pictures.

Sure, these pictures can sit in a book in a closet in one of our homes. Or they can sit in a box in one of our basements.

But, thankfully today we have access to technology that allows us to share such things so that we can all enjoy them. All it takes is someone to make the effort. And I have taken on that roll.

Any photos you see on this blog you are more than welcome to save to your computer or iPhone. And you can freely add them to your own personal collection.

A rule I have here is that, for a picture to be posted on this site, it must be at least 30 years old. That will prevent this from becoming an overwhelming task. From there the possibilities are endless.

Also, if you have pictures you would like to share, please use the "Contactr" link to the right to email me.

This picture here is one I randomly found on my computer. I am not sure where I got it from. Although, chances are it was from my Aunt Virgie, who has done a great job of writing up a family history and collecting photos from my mom's side of the family. Back row left to right: Alice Bottrell (mom), John Andrew Froncek (my grandpa), Lila Froncek (my grandma), and Virgie Gustafson (my aunt who I refer to in the post). The little girl in the front I will make an educated guess: Vickie.
